Hello everyone,
My name is Haytham Al Tigani from Sudan.
Over the past years, I have been deeply engaged in Sudan’s emerging digital transformation conversations, particularly around Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), financial inclusion, interoperability, and ecosystem development. I have also been writing extensively about these topics and their potential role in rebuilding resilient institutions in fragile contexts.
Following recent developments in Sudan — including the Central Bank of Sudan’s new Instant Payment System (NIPS) RFP — I have been engaging with Mojaloop leadership regarding the possibility of supporting a hybrid partnership model between experienced Mojaloop System Integrators and a capable local Sudanese partner.
I am not presenting myself as a global SI. Rather, I see my role as:
My focus is on:
Sudan is entering a very important moment. Despite the challenges, there is a real opportunity to build interoperable and inclusive digital public infrastructure from the ground up — in a way that could become a meaningful regional example.
I would be very happy to connect with Mojaloop SIs interested in exploring Sudan further, exchanging ideas, and discussing possible collaboration models.
Best regards,
Haytham Al Tigani

Hi Haytham,
My name is Alain Kajangwe, CEO of WiredIn, a Rwanda-based SI implementor of Mojaloop based payment switches.
We are the company that worked on Rwanda’s eKash/RNDPS 2.0 solution, and we are also supporting the Bank of South Sudan on its Instant and Inclusive Payment System. Both experiences have reinforced for us that successful Mojaloop and DPI implementations require a strong combination of technical delivery, institutional coordination, local context, and capacity building.
I would be happy to connect and explore how we could collaborate around Sudan’s NIPS opportunity, especially if there is a strong local partner helping navigate the ecosystem and support sustainable implementation capacity.
Thank you and I look forward to engaging more on this opportunity.
Have a great weekend.
Kind regards,
Alain

Great insights on payment system interoperability! This topic connects well with broader fintech infrastructure discussions. I recently came across a useful resource on wellness and digital-first engagement: apana yoga — relevant for those studying consumer engagement models in digital payments.
