1.0 WELCOME, ROLL CALL, AGENDA REVIEW
Simeon welcomed the group and reviewed the agenda.
2.0 APPROVAL OF 11 DECEMBER MINUTES
Simeon reviewed the minutes for the 11 December meeting. Quorum was achieved and the minutes were approved as presented.
3.0 CO-CHAIR ANNOUNCEMENT
Simeon announced that Kim Walters has been elected as Co-Chair of the Community Council. Congratulations, Kim!
4.0 COMMUNITY OBJECTIVES
Simeon welcomed the Executive Director of Mojaloop, Paula Hunter. Paula shared the mission of Mojaloop, along with Mojaloop’s top priorities for 2024:
- Delivering Proof of Concepts and launching new Implementation Projects
- Updating our Roadmap, Product Documentation, and Training
- Release Planning and Execution
- Increase Community Engagement and Partnerships
Simeon shared the 2024 Objectives document and reviewed the ideas from the last meeting. The group discussed the importance of the objectives aligning with Mojaloop’s priorities. In addition, the following topics were discussed:
- Documenting Standards
- Onboarding
- Community Engagement
A suggestion was made to create a document that defines the priorities and illustrates how the objectives of the Community Council align with those priorities. Moreover, a recommendation to review the existing documentation and onboarding materials was made.
Simeon and Kim agreed to revise the document and present it to the Community Council for final approval during the next meeting. There was discussion about moving the next Community Council call scheduled for 22 January to 15 January; however, after the call, it was decided the schedule will remain as is and the next call will be held on 22 January.
Once the objectives are approved, leaders will be assigned to each objective to help drive the effort.
5.0 CHARTER REVIEW PROCESS
Simeon confirmed the Community Charter Review will take place from 15 January to 2 February. Each council will review community comments from 5 February to 16 February.
6.0 MOJALOOP COMMUNITY SYNC
