1.0 WELCOME, ROLL CALL, AGENDA REVIEW
Simeon welcomed the group and reviewed the agenda. Simeon announced that this call serves as the transition call for the Community Council (CoCo) and includes both existing CoCo members and new CoCo members. New members will serve for one year.
Simeon confirmed that the newly formed Community Council will meet for the first time on 11 December and reminded the group that the last day for all Mojaloop meetings will be Friday 15 December. Mojaloop meetings will resume on 2 January 2024.
2.0 APPROVAL OF 23 OCTOBER MINUTES
Simeon reviewed the minutes for the 23 October and 27 November meetings. Quorum was not achieved, and the minutes were not approved. Given that this is the final meeting for current CoCo members, approval of the minutes will be conducted via email.
3.0 COMMUNITY OBJECTIVES AND WRAPPING UP 2023
a. Simeon verified that Community Council meetings are generally scheduled every other Monday at 9 AM Eastern Time. The incoming group has the flexibility to determine if the current cadence is suitable for their needs. Simeon informed the group that the Community Council has a private channel on Slack and a group in Basecamp, to which new members have been added. There is also a distribution list email, which can be used to reach all members, including Staff.
b. Simeon announced that one of the first tasks for the CoCo will be to come up with Community Objectives for 2024. To assist with this, Simeon reviewed the 2021, 2022, and 2023 Objectives documents and provided a summary of what was accomplished. The 2021-2023 Community Objectives Summary presentation can be found in Basecamp. In addition, Simeon will be providing the group with a summary of the results of the 2023 Mojaloop Community Annual Survey.
c. Simeon announced that the CoCo will need to elect a Co-Chair and confirmed that everyone on the CoCo is eligible to be Co-Chair. Megan Cannon reviewed the timeline for elections:
• Nominations: 4-8 December
• Voting: 11-13 December
• Announcement: 15 December
d. Simeon announced that every year in January, the Mojaloop community reviews the charters governing the Community Council, Design Authority, and Change Control Board. These charters are made available to the community for a one-month period, allowing members to provide feedback and comments. Subsequently, each committee reviews both the charters and the comments received, proposing changes where necessary. Simeon will send the current Community Council charter to the group for review.
