This session will not include slides, rather it will be a Q&A session with Gab. If you have questions, feel free to add them here. Examples of what I intend to ask Gab include:

  1. Tell us a bit about FINOS and why the need for an OSS foundation focused on Fintech?
  2. What are some of the challenges large organizations face with regard to OSS?
  3. Have you been able to convince the financial institutions to contribute code/developer resources to some of your projects?
  4. You recently launched an open RegTech SIG, how is that progressing? What have you learned from the regulators?
  5. Are there key trends in OSS technology that you feel are growing in importance for the FinTech sector?
  6. A lot of your members are large commercial institutions, what are their thoughts with respect to Financial Inclusion? Are there any interesting projects you would like to highlight?
  7. As a relatively new OSS foundation, are there any words of wisdom you would like to deliver to our community?

What are the motivations freezing the middle? Do you have any learnings for thawing them?
