UNCDF and ModusBox have been implementing a Proof of Concept for enabling Myanmar microfinance institutions to participate in a industry owned, L1P aligned payment system. We are about to initiate the next phase and would like to present the lessons from the project thus far.

Great example of the innovation pattern:

Empathy for Problem -> Sticky Solution -> Revenue Model -> Scale

Really empathize with the core problem before thinking about solutions; once you have a solution that stakeholders value, you can think about a sustainability and revenue model; only then, think about scaling the solution. The order of these steps is important to success and the steps are so often taken in the wrong order. This project is a great example of how to bring stakeholders to designing their own sustainable, viable solution to the core problem they all share. Well done!
